So Brutus made me start doing leather tooling (via armor-shaming. Kinda like fat-shaming, except with armor.)
So I did. And here are some of the things I have done in the last month or two.
Everyone should post their tooling! or questions about tooling.
First attempt. No proper tools. I was judged harshly. I wear it attached to a steel O-ring attached to my breastplate, over my chest.

Another attempt without proper tools. Anvil of Law. On left pauldron.

First attempt WITH proper tools. Supposed to be some waves, with a big angular wave above and below. Kinda looks more like a shark fin, but sharks is scary so that's cool too. Two of them, attached above the ears on either side of my helmet.

Dark Tide symbol. I just tooled it on some scrap junk I had laying around because my actual tooling leather hadn't come in yet. I thought it turned out pretty well. Cut it out in a weird shape, and stuck it on my "Cowboy Collar" pauldron attachment.

Felt so good about the Dark Tide symbol, I decided to create the leather bound "Tome" in which the Dark Tide Codex will be placed (Once I finally print it all out and bind it.) The Dark Tide symbol on the binding was garbage. My hands are like meat patties and I couldn't get the level of detail I wanted on it. I think the Lady Justice, and the Text came out pretty well, though. The leather-lace wrapped edges were painstaking.

Lady Justice (front view). The drawing that Emi made for me wasn't as detailed as the original Lady Justice, and I have no artistic capability so I couldn't really fix it in the tooling. Plus the leather I used was sub-par. But it's almost decent. I'll do a better one eventually. The 'blindfold' she is wearing is actually some scrap cloth from a cloth sample I got from Brutus. Attached to right pauldron, opposite of the Anvil one.

At this point the goal became to put a piece of tooled leather on every individual piece of armor that I wear. Which if you've seen my armor you will know is a task.
The Torch of Order. The little waves in the line above and below it are an actual stamp that I ordered from Springfield Leather. First time using it so they aren't lined up real good. This is attached to my right upper-leg armor.

The Quartered Shield. Same deal as the other, just a different symbol. This one is on my left upper-leg armor.

The Hammer of Justice. What I consider to be my personal symbol. Can be seen in my signature, actually. (Thanks Krag). Also, the blue line I have at the bottom is tooled, but the leather there is that "Compressed Shield Grade" leather that I got, so it's like trying to cut Granite with a swivel knife. But you can see it a little. This same design is on both of my hip-pieces.

Now, Dark Tide recently forged an alliance, and we're about to declare War on the Horde. I figure if you're gonna declare war on some filthy creatures, you should do it with class, so they know how superior you are to them.
This is the "Envelope/Paperweight" to which I am going to attach the sealed and signed Declaration of War, which we will deliver to the Horde leaders. It's the symbol of their unit, so I figure if I draw a picture they'll understand that it's meant for them. I'm sure they'll be able to find someone to read it to them. And once the paper is served, they can do whatever they want with it.

Then I got back to my Armor.
When I ordered from Springfield Leather, I ordered a bunch of buckles. I did not read all of the fine print, so when they arrived, four of them were about the size of my arm. Apparently they are used for saddles or some such. So I decided to make some huge straps with tooling on them to put on the ankles of my greaves. You can never have too much ankle support, right? I have almost a solid inch of it on my greaves now. Justice is the right greave. Law is the left.

Then I figured that since my greaves got some tooling love, my bracers needed it too. But since my bracers are less likely to get all screwed up from mud and whatnot, I'd do a little more intricate stuff. Truth is the Right bracer. Order is the left.

And that's pretty much it, so far. I've done some little miscellaneous stuff here and there, and I have plans for some more stuff.
I still have my codpiece and my butt-plate left that are missing tooling. And the main part of my breastplate just has some angular lines tooled into it that don't amount to much. But I'm pretty close to my goal.
